I’ve just found some really good information for WordPress plugin and theme developers on the WordPress Codex - looks like essential reading!

In particular, plugin developers should be aware that plugins need to register their options - ‘f your plugin uses the “easy” method of saving options (described in more detail at Creating Options Pages), then in a near-future version of WordPress (and in the current version of WordPress MU), plugins will need to register their options for them to be recognized as valid.’ as quoted from the Codex.

There’s a whole bunch of other stuff in there too, I’ll be digesting this over the next few days and you should too!
